Today we've got another strange old brand from the late 70s and 80s called Econo Jet. There isn't much history on this brand out there but from what I could find Econo-Jet Sport shoes were based out of Grand Rapids, MI and lasted from about 1977 - 1987, give or take a couple of years. These sneakers are called the "Cross Country" and seem like a loose homage to the adidas country line of sneakers, green on white and all. Above all else though, these kicks win the prize for the "strangest swoosh" in sneaker history... that green blob on the side looks to me like the profile of a seal swimming underwater but that's just a guess. What do you think?
