Vintage Sears "The Winner II" Runner

Sears x Converse?... Adidas? We're not sure.

Circa late 1970s.

Made in Korea.

Sears. Remember them? Back in the day before you had Amazon, or Walmart or Target there was Sears, Roebuck and Company at the forefront of US department stores.

Prior to the current wave of (Brand A) x (Brand B) mashup sneaker collaborations between brands and artists or other brands the Sears “The Winner” line was the original sneaker mashup. They were forged in a collaboration between two industry giants back in the late 1960s through the 70s and into the early 80s. They were onto something good here.

The original Sears “The Winner” line were introduced around 1969 and styled along the lines of Converse All Stars. Those original Converse All-Star sneakers from the early 70s sell for between $1500 - $2800 now. 💰

For the second go around “The Winner II” came out around 1977 and were styled in the 70’s low profile track shoe runner vain. These vintage Winner II sneakers came in an old school NY Knicks blue and orange colorway along with the orange stripe detail along the sole.
