Saucony Bullet and Pacesetter 1978 vintage racing shoes

Here’s an old school ad for Saucony and the second vintage Saucony ad we’ve posted featuring Olympic medalist Edwin Roberts, the other one is here. Both have nylon oxford uppers with suede trim ... one-piece seamless toe construction . . . and versatile 7-position nylon tap with interchangeable spike positions. Saucony offers a full line of racing shoes and training flats for men and women. Edwin Roberts calls these two new Saucony shoes, "the best available for runners at every level of competition. Pacesetter (Model No. 8834) ... gold with blue trim, and an extremely high-abrasion Tufcrepe. sole in Caprice design. The sole is flared and rolled, and the heel wedge assures maximum shock absorption. Pacesetter's sock liner is 2-way-stretch nylon on rubber.
